un buen número de producciones virtuales
en poco más de un año, muchas de
las cuales han marcado un hito en la exploración
de sonidos y la búsqueda de una definición,
una identidad, que en muchos casos resulta de
un intenso trabajo individual en el estudio, y
otros, de igual magnitud, derivan de un trabajo
colectivo de colaboración, al que además

del proceso evolutivo de los distintos proyectos

Filtro's
discography has been able to unite a great number
of virtual productions in less than a year, many
of which have achieved a great deal in the exploration
of sounds and in the search of a definition, an
identity, than in most cases results from a hard

We have come to our 20th release in a similar way as in our beginning like a label: establishing a panoramic view of things in minimalistic and glitchy electronics produced in an independent context. Histeresis is a drawn trajectory framing intimist and atmospheric set ups to urban beats, flirting in some moments with an alternative dance floor. Twelve artists from México, Chile, Japan and USA are represented here.

Consumption
of new technology has again divided the world into zones;
Filtro takes advantage of this phenomenon and uses it
as a pretext to release Region 4; a new compilation
which generates a dialogue between Jamaican dancehall
music, reggaeton, dubstep, its applications dance music
trends suchs as UK’s Grime as well as the own
minimal and idm sounds from our label’s musicians.
Región Cuatro incluyes Filtro’s most recent
affiliates: Rivel (California) and The Copy Violators
(Jalisco, Mex) as well as members and friends of the
label, such as: Destreza, Kampión, Karras, Lao,
Mhv and Plug. From dark, heavy basses, soca’s
deconstructions and minimal reinterpretations of dancehall
music to fragmented regaetton and digital “cut
and paste” turned dancehall, Región 4 is
the soundtrack for an age where the popular culture
has taken a lot from the constant flow of Caribbean

California, EUA, Rivel presenta su primer EP en filtro:
What’s de dub of it all, con cinco tracks que
parecen salir de un CPU trabajando bajo la influencia
del THC. Beats idm envueltos en acordes de reggae y
gruesos bajos, así como atmósferas más
sutiles; en el ep están presentes todo el tiempo
las influencias de la música de Jamaica Si bien
esto no resulta extraño en la música electrónica
inteligente de hoy en día, el ánimo experimental
de Rivel logra convertir a sus raíces en estructuras
caprichosas y poco comunes que lo alejan del grueso
del dub electrónico. El EP incluye 3 reinterpretaciones
sonoras de la música de Rivel a cargo de Bifidus,
Plug y Subnor.
Straight
form California, USA, Rivel delivers his first release
on Filtro: What’s de dub of it all, five tracks
that seem to come from a THC-exposed CPU. Heavy, smoked
IDM beats wrapped with post-reggae chords and strong
basses generating what someone may call electroreggae;
this, along with more gentle soundscapes, a lot of influences
from the Jamaican music and an experimental twist make
Rivel’s music depart from most of the known electronic
dub. The EP includes 3 remixes of Rivel’s music
produced by Bifidus, Plug and Subnor.

Straight from Osaka, Absoult Time presents fragmented
and danceable music, feeded with the basic elements
from digital dub. This music rises unto a few times

beats that altogether carve a spiral vibe, rythmical
and atmóspheric, with high accuracy and beauty.

from Lao, a young Mexican artist, in which his more
personal obsessions merge:
digital dub and an abstract mixture halfway between
the irony and the respect of the mexican popular devotion
and sacred images. Loops and clicks that harmonize with
a tapestry of long oscillations. Liquid pearls of idm
and customized, blurred reggaeton complete the sonic
imaginary of one of the freshest proposals emerging

Yen Pox is the debut EP from Bifidus (Juan Carlos Flores). It is formed by tinny
dfigital corridors, folds and microscopic sonic explosions. Artificial ambiences
that seem to be guided and ordered by the chaos of dreams. Yen Pox creates

Desde Argentina nos llega este ep con una duración de casi 50 minutos en el cual
participan Gurtz, Funzion (aka Ampec), Dilo, Tammy y Barem, artistas del crew/label
Zensible Rec, fundado en Buenos Aires en el 2003. Pingüinos es una clara
demostración del alcance de Zensible Beats, subdivisión del sello enfocada a la pista
de baile, en la cual se da una fusión de géneros sintéticos que incluye idm, clicks and
cuts, nu-dub y minimal techno enmarcada en estructuras de 4/4 ideales para el dancefloor.
From Argentina comes this almost 50 minute ep, wich includes tracks by Gurtz, Funzion
(aka Ampec), DIlo, Tammy and Barem, all of them artists from the crew/label Zensible Rec.
Pingüinos is a clear demonstration of Zensible Beats aesthetics, a sublabel coming out of
Zensible Rec focused on the dancefloor. They fuse synthetic genres like idm, clicks and
